Food Web:
The source of energy in this food web is the sun.
If there were fluctuations is the food web, each
organism would effect each other because the
source of food for that organism would be affect.
For example, if there was a fluctuation with the
grass, the antelope would be affected which would
affect the coyote. If one of the producers got a
disease and dies, the population growth of the
primary consumers, secondary consumers, and
tertiary consumers would be limited because
without the producer, none of the consumers
can get food. Invasive species could also affect
native organisms. If an invasive species somehow
entered the temperate grassland biome, it could
lead to devastating effects on the native organisms
of the environment. If a type of grass, not native
to the temperate grasslands, was growing around
native grasses, the invasive grass could harm or
kill the native grass and the the animals that eat
the native grass.
